...about melissa
I'm a stay at home mom and wife. I guess what you'd call a homemaker. I have always loved photography and got my first camera { a 1980's Polaroid One Step Flash } when I was 6. I started off taking pictures of my Barbies and eventually worked up to family and friends. Most of my teenage years were spend behind the lens of any type of camera I could get my hands on. I am by no means a professional photographer or even really all that good, but I love capturing the moments I see in my mind on a picture. A photograph is something that can live forever and express how you felt and what you saw in any given moment of your life. I love to cook, I hate to clean and I try not to take life too seriously. If you want to know anything else about me just ask. I really don't mind talking about myself! : )

I rock a Nikon D3100. It was my Christmas present from the hubby so I don't have any special flash, lens or stand yet. It's pretty much just stock at this point. I also have a Sony Cyber-shot point and shoot that is currently collecting dust somewhere { but may soon be a gift to my 6 year old daughter }. And last but not least, my iPhone. I take more pictures with this than anything else because it's always with me. I have about 15 apps for pictures, but my favorites are Hipstamatic, Instagram, Color Splash and Photo Studio.

Since I am alway a mommy, I have to mention my adorable family! I've been married 6 years to my amazing husband, Luke. He's a sports loving, car modifying, BBQ grilling retired Marine. The typical mans man. Together we have four { yes four .. *faint* } little girls. Caidyn is the oldest, then there's Taylor, Ryen and Harper. We also have a 7 year old pug named Suki Turbo Nikko ... or Mr. Nikko, as we call him. We're just one big, happy, all American family!
