...my ideas
Finding ideas and inspiration everyday is hard when you've got your hands full with kids, laundry and cleaning, so I've decided to put up a few ideas { more like challenges } of things I'd like to try { and conquer } this year!
. light painting
I really thought this was going to be a huge challenge, but it's actually pretty easy. I'd like to try to do one of these every month. Some of the things that people come up with are amazing! Check out some pics online to see all the things you can do with light painting.
. silhouette
This is something that sounds easy to me, but because it deals with lighting { my weakness }, I'm not sure how I'll do. Silhouettes, when done right, are beautiful images. Or spooky. lol They can look spooky too.
. aerial
Nope, not like the Little Mermaid. I mean get up high in a plane, hot air balloon or super tall building and take a picture. I love those shots that people take out of plane windows with the earth peaking through the clouds. I'd like to do something like that this year. Which leads me to my next thing...
. miniature
You've got to capture the right picture to make it look good as a miniature. If I can pull it off, I'll be so proud of myself! I love the look of a miniature picture.
. cloudscape
Really not that hard to get. Just have to find the right day to get a great looking picture. I'd like to find a day when the whole sky is covered in those clouds that make little wave patterns. I have no idea what it's called, but it's mostly in the morning. Guess I'll have to start getting up earlier to do this one!
. sun dogs
I've only seen this a few times in my life { obviously another reason to get up earlier }. It's when the morning sun is low in the sky and it creates 2 other light beams around it to form an arch. That might not be the most scientific explanation, but it's a beautiful thing to be seen.
. reflections
Another easy thing to do that can make an amazing looking photograph. A reflection can be done is so many things ... sunglasses, mirrors, water, metals. This is something I'd like to play around with a few times a month.
. sports
Now when I say sports, I mean sports sports. Like professional teams in action. I want to get a shot worthy of the Sunday sports page!
...themes
I think it would be cool for anyone following me or also doing a 365 Project to help me come up with a weekly theme. Something like food, or self portrait, or vintage. Then I'll have a week { and anyone that would like to do it with me } to do a picture around the theme. It would be awesome to see how other people interpret the same subject. If your interested, let me know!
