Part 3 of my Alabama mini series. Tracks & Trains.
I love railroad tracks. One of my photography goals is to lay my camera on the tracks and get a picture where the tracks look like they go on into forever. Of course, I also want a beautiful back drop and preferably a railroad system that's no longer in use, but I'll take one of the three.
As we were driving to the zoo a few days ago, I noticed we were following some railroad tracks. I took a few pictures and told my husband that the only thing that could make it better was if there were a train. Some times you get what you wish for. I guess today was my day.
I'm sorry this is such a crummy picture. I was focusing in on the sign when my husband started yelling that there was a train coming. I noticed it was in my frame and took it anyway. I thought I could say it was my artistic view of the train in the background, but it was more like good timing and a little luck.
One of my favorite things about trains has to be the graffiti. It shows the places the train has been and the things it has seen. Plus it just looks cool.
